Changes I've made with actual results!

I have been making some changes and loving the results.

Usually I would be telling you about homeschool changes or changes in our routine or cleaning schedule but this is a bit more personal.

~ Working Out. I have been doing weight lifting 2-3 times a week. I do a mix of exercises on the Total Gym and free weights. I was jogging 4-5 times a week but recently I started sprinting. I like it. I didn't think I would but I can feel it working my WHOLE body. I have only worked up to about 4/50 meter sprints because my body is so sore the next day. It is a good sore though. So the plan is to jog 2 times a week and do sprints 4 times a week. We'll see how that goes.

When I do the actual weight training, I have been doing upper body Tuesdays and Thursday. Lower body Wednesdays and Fridays. Squats every day. Finally worked myself up to 50 squats at a time with 10 lb. weight BEFORE I started the sprints. Now my legs are too sore to do that many. So I do 3 sets of 20.

I also do an ab challenge that I found on Facebook. Everyday. It kills me.

~ Taking a multivitamin. This vitamin has some kicks! I must have been missing something essential because as soon as I started taking it, I felt like me again! It was so weird. I didn't even know I was gone. I've had so much energy. I realize it does have some caffeine in it but it does not make me jittery. I have been taking them since last Saturday. I have had moments of sleepiness or maybe just being worn out but they were just normal feelings instead of feeling like I was dragging all day. I simply love them.

I bought mine half off for $10 on the GNC website. They are now $20. Totally worth is in my book but I have been told they go on sale 4-5 times a year so just be on the look out if you want to buy them half off.

~ Dry Brushing. I wish I could do this EVERY day but I simply do not have the time. I started dry brushing a week ago. My skin feels so much better. I have noticed a change in the appearance of cellulite on my legs. Which is pretty awesome if I do say so myself!

You can buy a brush for this at any health food store. The long handle ones work better to get hard to reach spots. Like your back.

I start at my ankles/feet. Always do it on dry skin. I brush in strokes, focusing on one area at a time. They say to do it toward your heart. This website explains the why's and what's WONDERFULLY!

~ Epsom Salt Bath. Really there is nothing better than this bath after dry brushing. Ahhh....

I fill up the tub, add 2 cups of salt and a squirt of Apricot Oil. Soak for 15 minutes. Step out feeling like a million bucks! Here is an good explanation. Only difference, I only soak for 15 minutes.

~ Homemade Body Wrap.

Yes, you heard me right. It gets even weirder.

- I coat my belly in coconut oil
- Wrap in plastic wrap for 6 hours
- Take off plastic wrap
- Wash belly
- Stare in amazement at the results because it seems so weird. LOL!

~ Homemade Face Mask

I have blogged about this before. I kind of got away from doing it but I started back up and swore I would never stop! My face feels and looks so much better when I am done!

Here is the facemask details

So as you can tell, I usually jump into things. I am not a take-it-slow kind of person. Maybe that is why I married my husband 4 months after we started dating! ;)

I would not share all this with you if I did not love the results. It is all pretty cheap and so easy to add into your routine. I might break it down a bit better in the future. If you want me to. Maybe if I get the nerve I will even add before and after pictures.

Great post! I love the homemade body wrap idea. Another website that has good prices on vitamins is Swanson. Have a great day!

Soooo...what's the skinny? I need more details than that!

Have you lost weight? Have you lost inches? How long have you been doing it?

What exactly is sprinting? Just running as fast as you can? How far?

And what exactly does the body wrap DO exactly? I am really confused about that. Just softer skin or what?

I have only lost a few pounds here and a few pounds there. I lost 5 pounds pretty quickly but now it has stopped but I think I am just replacing fat with muscle. So some of the "fluff" is gone and now I am toning.

Yes, sprinting is running fast for short distances. I mark 50 meters and run. Across the yard. I bet I am a sight. Hehe....I usually have Alyssa time me. Brian has been doing it too. It has kind of become a family affair.

The wrap. It seems so weird. I kept seeing things online about homemade body wraps so I tried it. Supposedly it pulls toxins from your body. I don't really know about that. I do know every time I have done it, I see a difference. A difference in the elasticity of my midsection. My belly is a bit of a mess. I was 100 pounds when I got pregnant with Carter and Morgan. They weighed almost 7 pounds EACH. It did a number on me. My stretch marks are smoother. My skin just looks (and feels) softer, more "normal". Not 100% obviously but a slight difference is pretty awesome in my book. :)
