Ultimate Blog Party 2013!

Hello and Welcome to The Pebble Pond

I am pretty excited that you are here. I started this blog a few years ago but it was not until recently that I really started to dive into creating what you see now. I love it here and I hope you will too!

First I should introduce myself...My name is Miranda. I have been married to a hunk of man (if I do say so myself) for the last 15 years. You could describe our marriage in one word.... Crazy. Usually good crazy so its all good. Our first date was an ice cream fight so its not odd to have food fights around here.

We have been abundantly blessed with 4 really cool little people. Taylor is our special needs daughter. She just turned 15! She has cerebral palsy and is an absolute joy. Alyssa is 13. (Eek...2 teenagers!) She is my creative, little spitfire. Morgan is 10. She is a horse loving, sassy, mini me. Along with Morgan (Yep, twins!) came a sweet little boy. Carter is 10 and basically he came be summed up like most boys...muddy and perfect. We hope to have more children but we are just waiting on Gods blessing.

We are a homeschooling family and I love every. single. moment. Ha...who am I kidding?! :)
I love *most* moments.

I love to create memories and capture that beauty! I love everything family and I love everything photography. Its a great mix. So you can expect to see lots of pictures here. I am still a work in progress but slowly I am teaching myself how to improve my photography. When I was a little girl, I used to dream of becoming a photographer. I can remember my mom and I posing my twin sisters (they are 13 years younger than me!) in baskets and adorable clothes. Ha! I was always the one with a camera in hand on field trips and outings with my friends. I am way too busy to fulfill that dream now but I love taking pictures. Capturing moments and the beauty in those moments makes my heart skip a beat.

I am a God girl....from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. The journey has been long and sometimes difficult but worth every moment. I am stronger in Christ than I ever have been. Its a good feeling.

My blog is basically just REAL! Real life, real moments. I blog about my family, the things we do, the funny things the kids say. I blog about raising a daughter with a disability, my journey to becoming self sufficient and our home school.

Every Friday, I host Random 5 on Friday and I would love for you to join us. Random 5 is basically just what it says. You can write about any 5 things that happened in your life or facts. Be creative! Just keep it family friendly.

I am part of the Old Schoolhouse Review Crew. Which means I get the opportunity to review some really wonderful products. I only review things that I think are going to be an awesome fit for our family. I do not like going to blogs that are bombarded with reviews so I do not do that on my blog. I do however love being part of the Crew! It is a group of wonderful, supportive homeschoolers.

Well I hope you enjoyed your visit here at The Pebble Pond. I would love to get to know you better so I hope you stick around. I would be tickled pink if you left a comment introducing yourself!

Just stopping by from the Ultimate Blog Party...

What fun pictures! I really need to start taking more pictures of daily life with my children. Life is so busy that I often forget. But it's such a great way to preserve our fun memories.

Hi, I'm here through UBP2013 :)

Beautiful family. I take pictures every single day, and share them on my blog, I find it's so important to do that so that one day I can sit down with my children and we can look back on what we did :)

Miranda, I'm so glad you stopped by my blog to say hi or I may have never found you in the party crowd. LOL! Your family sounds wonderful and it does look like we have a lot in common. Can't wait to stop by again. I used to host Friday Funnies on my blog but it ran it's course. Maybe I'll join you next Friday for your Random 5.

Have a lovely weekend.

Hello, and what a fun family you must have. I just started homeschooling as well. I wish I could get in with the site you talk about as everyone who homeschool seems to use it. Have a nice week.

I like your random 5 idea. How many weeks have you been doing it? Do you reach back in history or just during that week?

Miranda Hupp said...

I have been doing it for awhile now but I just started the linkup 2 weeks ago. I would love for you to join us! You can write about anything you like! Simple facts about you or detailed thoughts about your week. You can be as creative or simple as you like. :)
